Injuries in sport can occur while training or competing. In some cases, this can restrict activity. An athletic injury can stop or slow training progress and could result in having to stop that particular activity. No matter the focus of the athlete – professional or recreational – no one wants to be held back, by injury. Massage therapy can help during training by identifying small areas of tension with the goal to minimize the chance of an injury occurring. Once injured, a massage therapist can work with the client on a treatment plan that will heal the injury and get the client safely back to their chosen sport.
